A gigantic thoughtform hovers over the entire human family, built by persons everywhere during the ages, energized by the insane desires and evil inclinations of all that is worst in human nature, and kept alive by the promptings of humanity’s lower desires. This thoughtform has to be broken up and dissipated by humanity itself. (A Treatise on Cosmic Fire, 948).

Under the Law of Karma, we (humanity) are responsible for the consequences of our actions and must be the ones to address those consequences. We know that energy follows thought and that “the laws of thought are the laws of creation.” We also know that “the moment there is knowledge and a flash of understanding, that moment a person’s responsibility begins.”

Our focus in this Cleansing Initiative is to cleanse the astral and mental planes of the glamours and negative thoughtforms that reinforce the great heresy of separativeness and thus support the violence that is so prevalent in our communities. Please remember that the purpose is the elimination of these energies and the associated fog of fears. Most of us are more familiar with generating healing light and positive thoughtforms. Keep in mind that making energy available can inadvertently strengthen the existing thoughtforms that we want to eliminate. Some think that simply refusing to lend energy to a particular thoughtform will “starve” it enough that it will disappear. While that might be true of recently formed thoughtforms that have not yet gathered strength, that strategy will do nothing for the firmly established, highly energized ancient thoughtforms that have been gaining in strength over the centuries.

This initiative has two objectives to help address the great heresy of separativeness:

• Dissipating glamours
• Destroying negative thoughtforms

The group work envisioned is focused on a specific form of service to humanity and the Planetary Logos. It is not work that can be undertaken by an individual alone, but rather it needs the collaboration of a group of disciples in order to create the necessary points of tension and emergence.

This Cleasning Initiative started on 23 April 2016 and will continue as long as it is viable, with periodic eviews of our progress. There are four Wesak Festival talks on our website that are of particular interest in relation to this Cleansing Initiative:
